The GOAT ice cream is Carvel. This is my opinionated fact. If you disagree then I have a book for you

We have a local dairy chain, Braum's. They are a vertical business. They raise their cattle themselves born on site. They own the ranches, to grow the alfalfa to feed to their cattle, to get the milk to make the ice cream. They own the trucks that deliver it to stores their own company builds.

They have a lot of different flavors. We like the Chocolate Chip Cookie dough, or the peanut butter cup, with pieces of peanut butter cup candy mixed in. All really good stuff. They have a store about a mile from my house.

I'll take ice cream, unless it stinks. Which is usually not the case with ice cream.

Both the ice cream and your opinions melt in the light of day.

Everybody likes ice cream!

You know what's great?

A combination of some of both of these.

Have you guys ever had Filipino ice cream dessert called Halo Halo? It’s fantastic. It literally means mix mix as it’s a jumble of sweet cold goodness. IMO.

the only "Halo" that I'd heard of is "Halo Top" which is some sort of "lite" ice cream, which I'm pretty sure was created by the Devil or Nazis.

I had to look up Halo Halo, and this is what I found on the Bon Appetit website

Quote:
Halo-halo is one of my favorite summertime desserts. From the Philippines—the name means “mix-mix" in Tagalog—the refreshing dish layers shaved ice and condensed milk on top of all sorts of ingredients for an end result that packs in lots of contrasting textures, from chewy to crunchy, creamy to sticky. While components vary, you'll find some common add-ins at most halo-halo carts and bars: jellies, flan, macapuno, palm seeds, sweetened red beans, shaved ice, ube ice cream, fresh fruit, toasted coconut flakes, pinipig. My version uses mango jelly with fresh fruit set into it as well as pandan-infused sweetened condensed milk.

I encourage you to choose your own adventure, layering the elements in a tall glass or wide bowl. Make sure to use a long-handled spoon to reach everything, and for mixing and swirling. By the end, once things are mostly melted, you can practically drink it. —Tiana Gee
