Really?

Yeah, I think this stuff needs to stop. A scrimmage just for the little school to get a pay check. It is ridiculous. How about get rid of these games and expand the playoff???

Along those lines, FBS really needs to be whittled down and move out teams like Middle Tennessee and others. Let them get in a division where they can win and compete for their own national championship.

Winners so far: TCU, Michigan, Vandy (!), and Bama!

Georgia and Kentucky just started.....

Michigan State and Indiana went into OT and were tied at 31-31 last time I looked.....

Great job Hokies finally playing 4 qtrs of football and not giving it away. Phew! Liberty was favored by 2 td's +

Dawgs up 9-0 at the half . Closer than I would like it ! Illinois/Michigan was a good tight battle .

Beavers over Arizona 31-7

Didn't know whether to laugh or cry when one of the announcers talked about the Ducks being next up for the Beavers.
Said it was a great rivalry, but that his shock collar would go off it he called the game what it's been called for years because he can't say it on the air in today's times.

WHAT? It's always been called "The civil war game" for as far back as I can remember... This "woke" krap sucks!

If I had to bet...well, the Ducks will probably win. But I don't bet...Go Beavers! 8 wins so far, a banner year for the team from Corn Valley.

rfuerst911sc 11-19-2022 02:44 PM

Dawgs win on the road , Kentucky made them earn it .

wilnj 11-19-2022 03:41 PM

Maryland scares the piss out of Ohio.

Ohio 33 - MD 30 in the 4th before running out of gas. A sack and fumble of Tagovailoa on the 2 allows Ohio to run it in and put it away with 30 seconds left.

Final score 43-30

The days of SEC teams granting themselves what amounts to a a light scrimmage, if not a second bye week (while the rest of the Power Five are thick in their conference schedules) can't end soon enough.

According to this strength of schedule ranking, Bama and LSU are ranked #13 and #9, respectively, and both have better won-loss records (both 8-2) than any other team in the top 20, except for TCU which is ranked #20 in strength of schedule and is unbeaten with a 10-0 record.

Florida is ranked #16.

Baz, there is little doubt about the strength of the SEC year in, year out, and that is not up for debate imo.

But 'Bama scheduled a cupcake and that's not up for debate either :D.

I don't think you understood my point.

If you feel the need to criticize a team's schedule....and that is what you are doing here.

Then we need to look at their OVERALL strength of schedule.

According to the rankings I linked, Bama has the 13th toughest schedule in the nation.

So feel free to continue to criticize Bama's scheduling of Austin Peay.....and I will continue to point out there are only 12 other teams with a tougher schedule than Alabama.

The Buffs' final four games in order:

Oregon
at USC
at Washington
Utah

Sucks to be them this season.

'Bama is not alone in scheduling cupcakes outside of their conference schedule .... and it's nothing new. Bowl $$$ dictate that not many teams will take a chance on a game they might actually lose and mi$$ out.... Same as it ever was.

As fans ..... We just miss out on decent games, and it's all about the $$$.

I would like to see the playoffs extended to the best 8 or 16 teams too ;)....

See I don't get this part.

There were so many great games yesterday I couldn't keep up with them all.

It's like that every week.

==========

BTW, most Bama fans would rather see Bama play a tougher team than Austin Peay, so don't blame them.

The reality is for the sake of the player's health and safety I actually appreciate that not every week is a team playing against a top 5 team in the nation.

That's how we end up with depleted rosters at the end of the season due to player injuries.

Nike U (Ducks) by 3 over the Utes.

Tennessee got beat like a red-headed stepchild. And Herndon Hooker is out for the rest of the season with a torn ACL.

I just hope Tennessee can beat Vandy next week!!!
