Nebraska falls to Georgia Southern 45-42. Tried a last second field goal to tie and overtime but missed it. Wow. I remember when Nebraska had a pretty good team!

Lived there when they were good. The fans (everyone) were insufferable. One Fall Saturday, a 70 yo woman complained for talking to her husband about his hip fracture surgery in an hour. “Do you have to talk about that during he game?” :(

Anti-depressant med sales there must be off the charts these days.

Big win for Kentucky. They may be for real. Also, great coach and have some friends from Kentucky.

The Beavers have a better win/loss record than the Ducks.

FRESNO, Calif. (AP)

Jack Colletto scored on a 2-yard run on the final play of the game and Oregon State rallied for a 35-32 victory over Fresno State on Saturday night.

The Beavers (2-0) initially appeared ready to go for a game-tying field goal before coach Jonathan Smith opted to gamble for the win following a timeout by Fresno State (1-1).

That proved to be the right call as Colletto took the direct snap and ran it in for the score that gave the Beavers their first 2-0 start since 2014.

It capped a wild final stretch of the game that featured three lead changes in the final 1:50.

Man, the refs in that game were horrible, just horrible. But it went both ways for the most part. The end zone targeting/roughing passer / no call on grounding was an abomination.

I really thought Texas would get their behinds handed to them. Pretty good showing on QB #2 who was limping after the mullet got knocked out.

If Carrot Top had his the FG at end of 1st half Texas would have won. Ditto for the Safety the refs screwed up.

Tenn Pitt game was great.

I saw a post on Instagram today regarding Jimbo Fisher. Looks like he has the same or near same record as Sumlin did at this point. Yikes. I believe they got crushed in the transfer portal though, which I don't get. My kid goes there and it is one helluva of a nice place.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the decline begin when they went to the Big 10?

I think things started to derail for the shuckers when steroid testing came on line--but the Bo Pellini era went (comparatively) poorly too and preceded the transition to the Big10.

Lots of "what ifs" in any situation and any game. "What if" Bama had not given up 100 yards in penalties? They basically gave Texas a whole football field's worth of extra yards and they still won the game. How many teams out there do ya think could overcome a deficit like that and win their game? Yep, it is what it is.
