Abolish the monarchy? Hey, the Brits love their Royals...gives them something to gossip about.

Rest in peace, Queen Elizabeth...God save King Charles.

craigster59 09-08-2022 10:11 AM

Between Charles, Andrew, Harry & Meghan she had to put up with a lot of scandal and familial infighting at the end. I'm sure that may have contributed to her demise. RIP Queen.

I believe the Monarchy is a symbol more than anything else these days.

A shame, her passing and also the passing of a soon to be forgotten honorable and proud era the younger generation won't understand.

What did she pass, gas or a kidney stone?

I never understood that phrase, that someone passes. She died! Kicked the bucket, croaked and breather her last breath. It will happen to every living thing.

She was a classy lady, and certainly had a long and privileged life. I wonder if she ever had to cook her own food, clean the house, scrub a toilet or go shopping.

RIP Elizabeth. A phenomenally long working life. And thanks for looking after us in NZ.

The Monarchy are a working family. All parliaments n the commonwealth report to the Queen, or Charles, from now on.

Kind of interesting to see the Queen progress toward the end of her life - also sad. I watched her coronation on our black & white TV as a kid and thought she was the most beautiful Princes that ever could be.

So did Winston Churchill.

How do you divvy up all their land holdings?

I doubt she did much cooking or cleaning. I suspect she had plenty of other crap that she had to deal with that your average person wouldn't want to deal with.

She did serve in WWII

She had a great run , what a classy lady . RIP

flatbutt 09-08-2022 01:45 PM

She may have been pampered and privileged but she was not a prissy princess. She could hunt, shoot and do basic maintenance on her vehicles.

WPOZZZ 09-08-2022 01:56 PM

She will be missed. RIP.

dewolf 09-08-2022 02:08 PM

Her life was not her own. She was 100% committed to her country and her title. She was told how to talk, how to walk, and how to hold herself. All of which she done without question. A legacy of a different era has gone. May she rest in peace.

The Queen is dead. Long live the King.
