Flatbutt, I hadn't noticed this thread last year but read through the highs and lows. Congrats on a successful search. Long may you ride.

Congrats, FB! Hope it turns out to be more fun than you expected.

Fwiw, I think these trikes are the state motorcycle of Florida.

Outstanding! Great color! When it's convenient, get some more pics in the sun.

The trip home sounds like a great way/adventure to get acquainted with the trike, and great news that it performed and you're not seeing issues. 5100 miles. That's practically new which is great.

You know, some airbrushed lightening would set off that blue paint.

So, as it turned out I found the same bike as in the OP in North Carolina slightly used with 5100 miles on it. It was still large money but overall $10K less than the new one I was digging.

I flew to Raleigh where my wingman Rodney met me and hung out getting to know the bike before riding it back to jersey. As you can tell it was late when I rolled in. It ran flawlessly with none of the oil issues I saw on the various fora.

Man it is a different ride but I settled into it pretty quickly. I do need to work on my arms as best I can. The square front wheel requires a lot of effort at low speed but I'll get it done.

There are a few improvements to make like an adjustable clutch lever, upgrade the abysmal lighting, a sissy bar for the grand kids, a luggage rack and I want to install a fuse block and a small light in the trunk.

So, the new adventures start!

Just read through this thread, congratulations Tom! Looks pretty awesome. When I rode across country these things were everywhere, alone, in pairs and several always in Harley packs a quarter mile long. Best way to keep riding rather than just giving it up, stay defiant and have a great time with it. And yeah, been raining nonstop up here too since I got back. Has to clear up someday.

I'm so happy for you that you made this happen!

Interesting. Just saw this.
Congratulations!
Not sure what the garden spot is for? Are you building a shed?

I suspect it's going to be a parking spot, maybe like a deck so the bike isn't sitting in the mud/grass. But that's just a guess on my part until FB clarifies.

My front garden is just that...all dirt and flowers. I want a spot up off of the dirt to park it. My town is ocverly restrictive on front garden sheds so I'm starting with a low deck/patio and a Dowco cover. I'll probably use a pop up as an over cover.
