It would be interesting if a nascrap team fielded a team for Le Mans.
But does any one team have enough drivers who can turn right?
I'd like to see how they would do.

Wake up Byron. The Hendrick car is currently 28th place overall.

Um ever hear of a little NASCAR track in New York called Watkins Glen? That ain’t no oval course, at least it wasn’t when I raced there.

Turns out there are 6 road courses in the NASCAR season where drivers need to turn right… it may seem ‘crazy’ and ‘new’ but they’ve only been running on road courses since 1949 and regularly since 1972…

Last update about 30 minutes ago the Camaro was running 34th . One of the talking heads said he was expecting a better performance . He was guessing mid 20's .

But the race isn't over so still time to possibly move up . Regardless of where they finish that team can be proud of their effort . Will it lead to something else in the future ? Only time will tell .

Looks like it could be Ferrari, Cadillac, Cadillac, Porsche…

Who saw that coming?

Maybe not, Toyota is back out after a pit to change body work and still P2.

Ferrari, Toyota, Cadillac, Cadillac, Ferrari…

Corvette won GT as well.

I think a pretty spectacular showing for General Motors given P3 and P4 in hypercar, a win in GT, and the Garage 56 clean run and completion of the race.

G56 finished 39th, they beat the Hertz Jota Porsche Hypercar… let that sink in…

Congrats to the G56 garage team , a 1/3rd of the race field would have loved to complete the race . Hopefully this is not a " one off " effort but only time will tell .

I heard something in the post race interview with Jensen Button that every time the safety car went out, G56 was put on the next lap… not sure if this was bad luck or the rules for their entry. Had this not been the case, they would have beat all of the GT cars.

Transmission trouble, I think I heard them say. They were reluctant to give G56 any air time.

The answer to the original question then is, no. 2nd to last place of the cars still running (last place was a 963 that crashed and spent most of the race in the garage). Soundly trounced by the amateur drivers in GTE-Am throughout the entire race, despite their stellar driver team of an F1 World Champion, multiple NASCAR Champion and a multiple Le Mans Champion. Oh well.
