Paint meter recommendation?
Doing some car shopping currently, I ran across a car that has a panel that looks funny (the plastic bumper attachment to the fender). It may be factory, but that has me going. I wonder if any of you have good luck with a cheaper paint meter (>$100) that you can recommend?
I searched but could not find a solid recommendation. Also looks like there are a lot of new choices online. Thanks! |

I have a High Line Meter 2
Elcometer https://www.amazon.com/HighLine-2nd-Generation-Paint-Meter/dp/B016KYBIXC It is a budget friendly meter. I think I paid ~$150.00 8-10 years ago. It has served me well, I am a professional detailer. They make a version that can ping both Fe and NonFe surfaces. Obviously plastic/fiberglass surfaces can’t be metered. When I was searching most meters were $500 and up. |
