Anyone DIY overhaul an espresso machine?

I have had a Delonghi Magnifica for 20 years and we love it. I did have to have the boiler replaced about 10 years ago, but no problems since. I think I paid about $500 for the machine new, it cost me about $110 to have the boiler replaced and we have brewed countless thousands of cups of coffee on it. I occasionally cruise the sites looking for a new machine, but really the Magnifica has been almost bullet proof.

I had a Francis X5 that worked well - but the body rusted. Gonna restore it some day.

...so replaced it with the Super Automatic after using one at someones house. Love it because I'm lazy but appreciate good coffee.
