Microsoft key pad stopped working

It happened soon after a PP post.

Multiple re-starts did not fix it.
Update and Settings did not fix it.
My safe space has been violated.

I'm beginning to have doubt regarding the singularity.

This is prob a stupid answer....but I have had the same thing happen a few times.

Each time, I found I had bumped the NumLk key. (I'm guessing you are talking number pad)

Win11 Microsoft 22H2 Update has been on hold for quite some time.
-I don't want my U.I. altered or sabotaged.
-What I purchased is what I want to be involved with.
-The dealership can't set toe to +10deg and call it "new factory specs"

I keep erasing the Edge browser links which keep appearing on my operating system. Bought and paid for.
-Unlike a herd of cattle I will not be corralled into some choice.

So suddenly the keypad stops working...

A day before, on another forum, on another computer, I told MS to bite it for doxxxing me by using my real name as User ID. I told MS several times.
(This doxxing is illegal btw.)
(Individuals are subject to the same rules. Stalking laws apply. Because corporations are people.)

I'm legally well medicated tonight on rotten grape pressings, thank you, but besides that it's pretty simple:

1). The laptop keypad/mouse stopped working. Even after multiple OS restarts It happened soon after logging into this website. A few days ago in another forum I told MS to FO because their OS doxxes users by applying their real name across every application. A screen name should be different from my real name. Don't you think? If not feel free to post your full name and address here.

2). Before that my printer drivers were remotely uninstalled: The printer worked for many years before it stopped working because well no driver found.

3). So two functions of my computer have been disabled remotely without user consent.

Most people would click "Update" and hope that would fix it all.
That is the easiest thing to do....
I personally don't want any major changes to my computer without consent.

Hence one thing, and then another, have stopped working.

Could be. You know that A.I. keeps improving every day. heh.
Can't wait for digital currency here.
I've read about what your side of the pond has gone through already.

So why did plug-n-play stop working at this time specifically? Multiple restarts. Same issue.

Given their history of keeping customers on their toes, while being doxxed, what other possibilities could you think of that would cause this?

Yessir..Been studying up a little bit. It's a bit difficult for us coal miners.
The sad truth is MS still seems to be the least-worse of the three.

John, I've been using Linux Mint for nearly three years with minimal issues but I have a tech back ground.

It works really well but it's not for everyone.

Checked settings and it's on. Restarted. Rebooted. Still broken.
Restarted again and 'something' big installed itself. Could be AV.
(I have "let me decide when" selected.)
Went into update history and nothing for today is shown.

It looks like I will have to do a full update to restore touchpad functionality. Hopefully.
Microsoft is holding my keypad hostage.
Sad because I have classic look installed.
The new Win11 UI is terrible and limited. I cant find anything. They broke just about everything good.

Have to go. The Toyota dealership is outside taking the mirrors and the trim off my car.

I use the latest version of Win 11 Pro on my main machine. It takes a while to relearn where and how to find things from using 10, but not that long.

The issue is using my laptop, a Microsoft Surface that was the big bad boy of the Surface line when I bought it. It will not run Win 11, due too the processor so it is still on 10. It seems less intuitive to use than 11 after getting used to 11

Strange that changes were made without them showing up on updates.
I've had to undo updates a few times as they can mess with print drivers etc.

Some touch pads have a button in the corner to turn them "off" as well. Yours have one?

^^^^^^^^^This. Mint was the first Linux I tried, maybe 10 years ago. I have tried about 10 linux versions but I am back to Mint. I has become very easy to use. You can install it to a USB drive and operate it to see if you like it. Best part is, it is free.

Do you have an earlier restore point saved that you can roll back to? Might help in the short term.

I am also a Linux Mint fan and would echo the suggestion to download the iso, burn to USB and boot from that to take Mint for a spin. My laptop is dual boot but I rarely do anything in Windows anymore.
