Very strange qualifying. Stroll pulled himself out of the gutter . Hulk very consistent . Russell/Hamilton WTF went on with that collision ??? Good effort by Sainz and Norris . Max is so smooth it doesn't look like he's trying . Perez ?????

When Sky Sports shows their world map during F1 (often) I noticed my home province (PEI) is missing. Makes me nervous, do they know something I don't?

His interview inferred there is something basically wrong with the car. If so, I hope they find it.

Ferrari is now in 4th place in the points. Alonzo knew to keep the big boss happy and let the boss's kid stay ahead. I guess Alonzo damaged his floor too much in qualifying with his trip into the gravel.

Don't forget a few races back, Stroll caught up to Alonso and radioed the pits asking them to assure Fernando he would not attack. Alonso's response,"He can have a go if he likes.".
Mercedes has made some good gains but RB is in a different league. Best Les

I don't think there is any doubt that Adrian Newey is the chassis whisperer . The Red Bull is fast , has downforce and is gentle on the tires . At the moment the only chassis that covers all the bases .

^^^ How many teams are going 24/7 in CAD trying to learn from the naked RB floor at Monaco?

That's a great idea but paint = weight.

true,
but if they are 4/10ths a lap faster than the competition I would think they could afford a few extra ounces to protect that advantage. that is assuming all the the advantage is in the floor. I'm not so sure. Just wondering out loud here but if their engines were putting out an extra 50 horse powers or so, they could run a much draggier rear wing and get more downforce from it. No that can't be. If they did that the cars would be obviously faster than the others when the DRS kicked in ![]() |

I read a report today that Lew is holding out for 5 years and 250m to stay at Merc. Russell is watching from the sidelines.

offered to pay me that much, I'd let him stay and drive. |

F1 car development pace moves quickly, that Redbull floor will be out of date compared to their latest iteration being run in the wind tunnel
Any team copying it will be 2-3 months behind where Redbull are now Paint is heavy, not worth the performance penalty for a 'just in case they see it' scenario

Uh Oh, someone in the stands farted,
better throw a red flag for a half hour! Sorry, just being nostalgic to when F1 was still a man's sport. |
