Our beagle eats everything... including her poop.

She and our terripoo both love green beans. Beagle still eats bananas, the other one quit that and turns up a nose at them now.

Recently they were both on steroids. I would wrap the pill in a bit of ham. It got so bad that one of them would come running when he heard the pill bottle open/shook.

I love bananas and eat them regularly. Our male dachshund knows the sound of a banana being peeled. He come running and I let him have the "butt" of the banana, the little part stuck on the bottom that I used to just toss in the trash. He loves banana butt. he would eat a banana no doubt, but I don't share my food with him.

Now that our kids are in college we rarely eat at the dining/kitchen table. We cannot eat in peace since both dogs will our food and try to get some. I'm usually sitting with plate on ottoman and dogs watching my every move. My wife isn't so lucky. The terripoo gets up in the chair with her and won't relent.

Yep. Dogs are 100% pack animals. If you share your food, especially off of your plate, they think you have elevated them to be equals, and the should share in all your food.

Dogs truly want a pack leader. You have to be alpha male and your wife the alpha female. If you can't do that, the dogs will assume the role and bad things happen.

They try to show dominance by humping your leg, of grabbing some of your food. You must be "mean" and not allow them to have their way. Their brains are wired to be in a pack and to follow an Alpha. If no alpha is present, they assume the role.

They simply must learn all humans outrank them in the pack.

We never give our dogs people food. No leftovers. The banana butt I give him is like a special treat he get only if he has been a good boy and the female never is aware of it.

If you give my Bella a piece of pasta with nothing on it, she will turn her head away and refuse it. Put even a speck of sauce or cheese on it, and she will inhale it!

Bodhi on the other hand will eat anything.

Well, he dropped a V on the floor and Bam Bam Hoovered it up. Poor thing had a woody all night long!

My Dachshund has to have a "Puppaccino" every morning. When I make my wife her Cappuccino, I have to make a small cup of foam for our little Dachshund. She eats it off a spoon on my wife's lap.

Kobe, one of the best dogs we ever had, loved to go fishing. Absolutely had to investigate and lick each fish that came into the boat. She was also a pretty reliable fish barometer in that if she is up on the gunnels watching and waiting for action, you were going to catch fish. If she curled up under the console and took a nap, fishing was going to be poor.
