Well then someone else has a chance to win in Texas for a change. :D

Did you hear that Bradl called him an a**hole on a bike?

Stefan Bradl was supposed to be the new best thing when he made it into MotoGP, he was going to give Marquez a run for WC's. But, kind of like Ben Spies, he made it to the show but never got to the next level.

I know it's only Friday practice at COTA but I'm happy to see Quatararo close to the top of the sheets. He was pretty adamant a few days ago that COTA was a dangerous track with all the bumps at the end of the long straights. It'll be fun to see how the weekend progresses.

Sitting in T15 gives a great view of them coming off of the straight.

Pictures like that seem to imply that physics just don't apply  but of course manipulating physics is why they perform like that.

Brad Binder is a maniac - I'm a fan! :D

Pedrosa still has chops.

flatbutt 04-29-2023 07:28 PM

I fully expected J Martin to take out Bagnaia.

The thing I like about MotoGP this year is the ascendancy of the Euro bikes and the subsequent rise of a batch of riders who used to fight for the scraps. Jack Miller on the KTM and Mav on the Aprilla - I never would have guessed those two would be in a position to be fighting for podiums, let alone wins.

This new front tire pressure rule, on the other hand - I'm not sure I agree with that level of race stewardship.

(HST, I'm hugely disappointed in Yamaha and Quartararo.)

It's a head scratcher for me. What happens over the winter that causes a winning bike to suddenly become non-competitive? Sure other platforms have improved a lot but the Yammie looks like it's going backwards.

I read Honda are trying Kaldex chassis to go with their Kaldex swing arm

LeMans is so on my bucket list.

very cool. I think Marc is running with Kalex in LeMans this weekend.

I'm watching the three GP winners watch replay of the various incidents. Not only are these guys world class athletes but they all speak at least three languages fluently. They're just going back and forth in Spanish and Italian seamlessly.

herr_oberst 05-14-2023 06:04 AM

I don't know why I should be, but I'm impressed with Vale's Mooney team. Maybe in the back of my mind I thought he was just giving his buddy and his half-brother a chance to play. It's a serious effort, those guys are top-notch pilots and the results show it.

It's looking like the championship might go down to the last lap of the last race the way these guys are riding this year - hard and aggressive - (and the way Dorna is making up rules on the fly)
