I have eaten a few tons of bananas but never onece thought some bread would add to the experience. I have never tried a nanner samich. I suspect I never will. Just nanners, peeled, and eaten raw.

A peanut butter and banana sandwich on whole wheat bread will stick to your ribs for an hour on a bike.. Bananas sliced like quarters, obviously.

(My friend Jef likes Nutella and banana sandwiches - same theory - plenty of calories to get up that last 1/4 mile of the 15% hill that the slackers are walking up.)

I don't eat a lot of mayo on anything ... but for a 'nanner, or Kraft American Cheese Food slices wrapped in cellophane sammich on white bread (only), ya gotta have the mayo.... I remove the cellophane too!

Duke's mayo

If yer just gonna half the nanner. Can’t do it. But if you slice ‘em real thin and even like - it’s gonna werk. I mean if yer doin the quarter sized nanners yer gonna bite a nanner and a half. Messes up to mojo. Not the mayo of course.

Slice the nanners long way. They gotta be as thin as nanner quarters tho.

I don’t eat bread. Goes back to the bahn mi thread. In that one it was said no bread if yer have the sugar dibetis

Banana sandwich with mayonnaise on one slice and peanut butter on the other. Yum Yum Yum!

Another favorite is tomato sandwiches with mayonnaise.

Wait. Why not smear the banana onto the wonder bread. Why slice it at all?

Because two WRONGS don't make it right...

I'm sorta afraid to ask you "nanner long slicers" how you would cut the sammich in half!

Hint: It's not a grilled cheese

I like bananas and peanut butter, but I have never had a peanut butter and nanner sammich. If I did, it definitely wouldn't have mayo on it. I'm not a big mayo fan, unless maybe it's chipotle mayo which probably wouldn't be good in this case. I prefer miracle whip, but I wouldn't put that on a peanut butter and nanner sammich either. I can imagine nutella being yummy in this case.

What I'm far, far more likely to do is peanut butter and jelly French toast. You make a peanut butter and jelly sammich, dip the whole sammich in egg, and then cook in a hot skillet. The cooking makes the peanut butter and jelly extra gooey. You don't even need syrup because of the jelly.
