AC hydraulic jack - drops too fast

Hi guys,
I loaned out my Lincoln jack so I borrowed a friends very nice jack made by AC Hydraulics (Pelican sells them). When I turn the handle to lower the jack, it lowers the car very very fast. (It's like turning the handle 2 degrees lowers it slowly and 3 degrees slams it down.)
I was wondering if there is some sort of adjustment I can make to stop if from doing that.
Thoughts?
-Chris

That is not acceptable in a jack that costs almost $400.
I'm glad I got to try it though, it just doesn't suit my needs as well as my current jack.

I know this post is super old but I couldn't help but respond. After all if you're going to spend some much money on a jack I'd hop you would learn how to use it or read the manual to learn that you can adjust the drop speed!

But for those that can't read I created a video to show you.

Thanks, that's awesome! I was the one who complained of the drop speed originally.

Let me reciprocate with my own bit of snarkiness now. For those who couldn't read my post , I borrowed my friends AC jack and was unaware of the instruction book and thus sought advice from the forum.

Milt, that's just another reason not to ever leave the forum. You get soft, you lose your snarkiness. There's always somebody just waiting in the wings to take your place.

My advice is to start out slowly. Don't try to get too snarky all at once. It'll come back to you.

It's going to take time.

I'm there for ya.
