Weird t-shirt issue

Hard to describe this but I’ll try. Last year I bought a couple John Prine T-shirts off his website. Very nice. But tried them on and immediately notice it felt like my shoulders were being pulled back, or my neck too forward or something. Today my wife gave me a Powell & Peralta (skateboard) t-shirt and I just tried it on and it’s the same problem

Has anyone else noticed their t-shirts fitting oddly last few years?

Maybe they accidently sent you a women's fit t-shirt.

I've notice a XL is too small now for some reason.

Wasn’t someone here in the t-shirt business or did I imagine that?

My wife told me that more manufacturers are making “non-binary” clothes. A clerk at Old Navy told her that.

A moderately well know midwestern catalog/online joint, some time back got sucked up into the KMart/Sears portfolio and they used to be my rock-steady go-to. Small tees, 15-1/2"x33 oxfords. Since the Sears disaster they've continued a downhill slide in my opinion. More than a few tees have suffered one try-on after washing and a short trip to the rag box.

Now it's better and fewer. I have >15yo Banana Republic tees that are still going strong, even if they too are slipping.

Two things I hate about new T-shirts...

1. The neck ring is too large...making the shirt fit terrible when on.

2. The length of the shirt is way too long. I'm 5'9" and don't want them to cover my azz.

^ Steve, You're buying your shirts too big. I used to wear X large Tee's, now I wear medium.

(I'm 6'2", 180)

Want to know why the shirts are so long? To hide most men's belly's which protruding like an apple shape VS women who are generally pear shaped.

I bought an Adidas t-shirt in med size the other day. It feels like a night-shirt when on.
It's at least 5 inches too long.
I'm 5'9" and 150lbs.

Nope. Tried all these on backwards to test the theory that maybe the label was on wrong side. Putting them on backwards was much much worse

Maybe this is the answer

Tomorrow I’ll check to see who manufactured the t-shirts

Very disappointing, I read “wet T-shirt issue”. I demand compensation.
