I only watched the 1st half. I saw the Chiefs just destroy the Bears. The Bears were beat on both sides of the ball, out coached out played.

70 points in an NFL game? That's a division 2 team playing Alabama score.

Years ago a college coach berated a player for dancing in the end zone after a TD by telling him "Act like you've been there before." He lost that battle, because they still do it.

Ahhh, the long suffering Browns fans. A friend in Cleveland...every pre season he analyzes the player changes, thinking the perceived improved talent will be "This could be the year". The by game 4 or 5, it's:

Turn on the tv for the news and sports this am.
Have to listen to another 5 minutes of how Taylor Swift and her besties attended the game. More pics of her than of the game. Am I the only one tired of hearing of her at the games?

Nope. Said to my son while watching the game, it’s been 1 week and I’m sick of it already. Glad I’m not a Chiefs fan. |

I think we can conclude that Brock Purdy is the real deal. 20-21 passing, and the one incompletion was a throw-away under pressure. And Christian McCaffrey is pretty good, too. Bring on Dallas!

Anyone else wonder how many careers “we” as consumers of the sport, ruin by demanding immediate production?
The thought occurred to me watching Zach Wilson play last night. He was far from perfect, I don’t put much credence in the penalties or non calls. As a neutral observer I saw plenty that went both ways. But I wonder what would his career be like if he’d come into a QB room with a solid, not even superstar but just a solid veteran like Mahomes had with Alex Smith. Brady had it with Bledsoe, even Rodgers had it with Farve. Farve wasn’t supportive of AR but AR could watch how he went about preparing himself and learn even if passively. Geno Smith was in the same boat ZW was and gets in a room with Pete Carrol and has a resurgence. Makes me wonder. |
