No More WD-15
The BaT auction for my truck apparently went live while I was asleep last night.
I am going to take a long, cold bath on this truck. I set a low reserve to make sure it sells. If it doesn't sell at the reserve I set I'm just going to start using it as a truck again and not worry about its value. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1947-dodge-model-wd-15-pickup/#comments-anchor

Damn, the pictures you sent off to BaT are gorgeous. (But I really wish you'da clocked the hubcaps.)
GLWTA. That truck is iconic, not only from a Pelican perspective, but as an historical reference to the glory days of the industrial age in America. (And if you find a great picture of the bed floor, BaT always lets you add new photos)

Awesome truck. I wish I could justify having one.
My uncle has an early 40's Dodge half ton that he bought in the early 60's and has had it ever since. I have some fond memories of riding around in that truck. |
