I have upped my grease game
I am certain that I have bored many / all of you with my new-found obsession with dirtbike riding. Such a demanding environment for bearings and other moving bits, caused me to do some quick research into a better grease.
I am not saying that I found the holy grail, that would be stupid. But, Shaeffer 238 seems to be a significant improvement for water resistance and simply staying in the bearings. I thought you all would be interested. It really never occurred to me that there is higher performing grease. ![]() |

I wonder what Lubemaster would say.
I see that and I think... Related? My guess is that when all you've got Schaeffer's African style caulk, but you've only got a small hole, you may need to lube the whole up with Schaeffer's ultra-supreme lube to get the African style caulk to fit. ![]()

There's a wet pool shown in the advertisement. How big and supreme do they think their caulk is anyways?

Many years ago, early 90s, my room mate came home one day VERY excited. He'd been at the store and saw Schaefer beer on sale for $5.25 a case (24 - 12oz cans). I'd never heard of it, but he said that his dad used to drink it when they lived up north. But what he was so excited about was that there was a $5 mail-in rebate.
He popped some in the fridge. Neither of us finished the first beer and we threw the rest out. It was awful. I guess we should have poured it down the drain and turned in the cans so he could recoup his 25¢. We both assumed that they'd found it sitting in the back of a hot semi or the back corner of a warehouse or something and that's why it was so cheap and tasted so bad.

I’m believe that it is the same tier as Schmidt Sport Pack back in the 80’s. Awful!

We were on a road trip to Panama City once summer in the early 80’s and stopped off at the beer store. They had Old Frothingslosh on sale. We never heard of it, but bought a case and it was terrible.
