No one doubts his ability as a driver, but he has the luck of a leprechaun. George has to retire, but Lewis's car rarely ever breaks down and has to be retired. Many of his wins are because he rarely crashes in practice or qualifying, and that is driver skill.

He can still win a race when he has driven a tire to the point it explodes and is flat, and is flailing about.

I've never been accused of being a Hamilton fan but even I liked this victory... Anyone else amused Lewis may be leaving a resurgent Mercedes for a flailing Ferrari ?
I'm sucker for older athletes (I started liking John Mc enroe when he was old too)

Perez, seriously? why not put Ricciardo in that car and swap, and see what you get ? Both are disappointments this year, maybe something will shake out. If not you can make room for 2 and maybe it's not too late for Carlos ?

Carlos would be great for Red Bull. Not likely to happen, but I can't imagine why they keep Carlos. Even Alonzo would be a better choice for Red Bull.

I'm thinking Haas might get 5th place in Constructor points.
The Haas Ferrari on pace with the Scuderia Ferrari is good stuff.

All Lando had to do was put on a set of mediums.

That's racing, I guess. One note, though, is that Lewis' race pace was better than George's before his retirement.

And just ask Lewis about his luck with retirements in 2016!

Haas and Aston-M seem to have made big improvements this weekend.
Is this because the cars suit this track or because of recent "upgrades"
And what is meant by "upgrades"; software, aero, power or there is no telling what it may have been???

Aren't upgrades more of aero and maybe suspension? Things like software and power units are sealed for the season in terms of development, no?

It sure seems like Ayao has turned Haas into his team/vision . Steady progress and the team didn't fall apart with Gunthers departure . I like Gunther as a personality and find him refreshing but Ayao and the team are doing a great job . Hopefully the progress will continue and they can move up the constructors championship ladder .

The most noticeable upgrade was the sidepod inlet, now featuring the well-known overbite geometry concept initiated by Red Bull at the season’s start. The new inlet design, similar to McLaren’s, is not as elongated as some other teams, aiming to improve the airflow over the top surface of the sidepod, directing it more efficiently towards the beam wing and diffuser. This change enhances the aero elements’ effectiveness, contributing to better airflow under the car and increasing downforce."

The Devil is in the details.

Tomorrow's race could be very interesting . Winner may come down to strategy . Weather could throw a wrench into the mix . I hope RB are keeping sharp objects away from Sergio , another dismal qually for him . I personally believe he will be let go during the summer break .
