Last news of 24
- Apparently Max is gonna be a dad. See if that slows him down (not). ("P" is ex.F1 Dani Kvyat's daughter, not max's) - Looks like Isack Hadjar will be moving to Racing bull Visa card App Toro rosso whatever the hell the name of that team is. He narrowly missed on the F2 title to Bortoleto due to a car stall, but IMO he won the seat lottery because Bortoleto - who won F2 (Alonso's protegé) will be in an Audi next year (good luck) - Talking about Audi, they sold a chunk of the team to an arab investment group already because VW is not doing well as you know, closing plants and F1 is expensive... the engine is widely reported to be a dog so far, so Bortoleto and Hulk will not have fun next year and Williams will not be last !!! - Horner admitted extending Perez was designed to boost his confidence but ultimately "a mistake" - now the Q is whether the Mexican cuts all ties or remains as adviser or reserve driver or whatever, and the contract $$$$ of course. But apparently it's done one way or another, he's gone, just "how" to be decided, and Lawson gets the Redbull seat over Yuki who remains at "the team with a complicated name". - Colapinto's stock went way down after the repeat crashes that cost williams a lot of $ , apparently RB is a NO now... Alpine remains a possibility but they are gonna give Doohan at least 4-5 races in 2025.. - Chase Carey and his mustache are back at Liberty, as they focus on selling some side businesses to pay for MotoGP that they bought. - The dutch GP is gone after 2026. Too expensive to have races in Europe apparently, seems only the middle east can afford a new race nowadays, bummer. - KMag is going to drive for BMW in prototypes. WEC or IMSA not specified yet (I guess IMSA based on last time he tried this but WEC is closer to home) - Flavio Briatore, that paragon of honesty, says that Ocon not running their last race was what they offered him if he wanted to be freed to test the Haas right after, so it was mutual (and still a di#k move).. Swears that both cars were identical despite Gasly suddenly gapping Esteban by 1 second on the last few races, it's harder to make different cars anyway, blah blah.. criticized budget cap for not including the driver salary in there, some teams can go pay 100 mil for a Hamilton or Verstappen but not Haas or Alpine.. Fair point but... Kinda makes sense to be honest. He is absolutely *not* guaranteeing Doohan's seat for the entire season next year ("whoever is the best driver...read: has most money). I would not buy a Doohan shirt yet if I were you ! - Horner and Toto continued fighting via press re: Max v Russell. Toto was saying Horner had no right ot talk about "his" driver (russell) and was a little yapping terrier" to which horner replied he likes terriers and they were nicer than a "wolf". Gonna be fun next year ! -Arthur Leclerc drove Fp1 for Ferrari and that was the first time 2 brothers were on track in an "official F1 session" ever, very emotional for both considering they lost their dad the year before Charles got in F1. Bring on 25 ! Gonna root for Ferrari just on account of Vasseur being a great funny guy and Ferrari+F1 needing this, but also Williams (vowles being a decent dude and Sainz is there). Gawd,
"The FIA has confirmed the approval of controversial rule changes that increase the power of president Mohammed Ben Sulayem; both the FIA ethics and audit committees have had their powers stripped back, giving greater control to Ben Sulayem" Voted on In Rwanda, the cradle of Formula one ;-) That organization is "this" short of a banana republic. I hope/bet F1 leaves at some point. |

So did anyone ever get the scoop on why the former Liberty CEO dude, Maffei, had such a hard on for denying Michael Andretti entry into F1? Did Andretti sleep with Maffei's wife or something like that? It seems like an extraordinary vendetta.

Tsunoda should get the seat IMHO. The senior driver of the duo. Hes shown speed and growth. For this he deserves it.

If only for entertainment, I agree with you. Lawson hasn’t exactly set the world on fire vs Yuki and he seems very cocky, but he seems to be favored by Red Bull because Tsunoda had too much of an attitude early on and too much swearing or something. Hope they swap and try them both during the season.

Honda supplies the engines for red bull and honda
really likes Tsunoda. if you replace money with money, you don't lose much and Tsunoda has quite a bit of money backing him. I doubt he brings the same $$$ as Perez but it's probably close. We've all seen the stands at the Japanese GP, the people in those stands will spend any amount of money on F1 "stuff". ![]() And unless he crashes, Tsunoda would outscore Perez in an equal car. He would not be my first choice but he does seem like the logical one. |

Mistake. That team's on a downward trend for sure. Even Max is looking around.

Toto Wolff drops just as many f-bombs on DTS as anyone.
Okay, maybe not Yuki. He's in his own league.

Serious question: what happens next year to the
RB driver line-up (if)when Max bails? Lawson and Yuki? They'd need lots of spare parts. |
