^^^ lol

I just finished typing up a request to Humana for financial relief on my $1,823 bill for the root canal.

No idea if I will get any but doesn't hurt to ask.

Although generally I have good dental health, at this juncture, I'm going to look into dental insurance.

T-bagging helps with a sore tooth? Maybe it's just the scrotum in your face distracts you so you forget about it.

Hello everyone......

I just got off the phone from the place I got the root canal and have an appointment with them on Monday afternoon to double check my tooth.

I told them there seemed to still be some sensitivity in it - no pain - just feels funny.

It's been over 5 weeks so things should have healed up by now, I would think

The office manager said they would check the buildup on top for proper bite and may also take x-rays.

I'll let you know what we find out.....

Sometimes they can't get to all the roots. You could have some nerve tissue left in the tooth. The main thing was to get rid of the infection.

Yes, bite is very important but your bite also adjusts. I've had a "high" tooth and had a little taken off and sensitivity went away. Hopefully that's all there is to it.

You know, that rough ride of the Boxster is a tooth shaker.

Ha - I knew there'd be a Boxster comment in there!

Thanks, Milt.

I remember the first root canal I ever had was when I was young, single, working as a machinist and didn't have a dentist. I got an infection that was so bad I finally cried uncle one day at work and went into the foreman's office asking to go home early. He was kind enough to set me up with his dentist. I went over that afternoon, late.
When he looked at it he was amazed to find a full blown infection below the gum line. He'd never seen one there so called all his buddies in the office in to have a look see at it.
He did the root canal and all was good.
I don't recall what the bill was or who paid it. I probably had dental insurance I didn't know I even had working at TRW back then.

I was stressing before mine too, but it really wasn’t as bad as I expected. The worst part was keeping my mouth open for so long. If you want some solid info on what to expect and how to handle recovery, check out Colina Dental's article. It helped me feel more prepared and less anxious about the whole thing.
