I hope you have nightmares of this guy, Steve.

Here's one response I got from my friend's FB account that originated the request

it's a piece of a hay loader or hay rake. It's old.

Another

Part of a John deere reel for the header

and a follow up:

it was off Jim's old combine when he put new style on probly lot of em close by

And the last two received confirmation from the original requestor

you are right, I found quite a few pieces. Thanks for the chain hooking tip! I do not know if you noticed me on the tractor dragging pallets with the chain yesterday?!!! I seriously could not figure out why the hook did not go thru the chain links. Thanks!!

I have no idea what any of this means but I think DRONE takes the win and we stop working it. Thanks to all.

It looks like part of a spring tooth harrow.

We have a very similar one but the spreader bars on ours are steel.

This isn’t ours but you get the idea…

EDIT…

Oh I see, yes could be off the header on an early combine or swather.

I had a freaky ex GF who had one of those.

She asked me once if I wanted to "try it on"

One of the reasons she's an ex GF.

Those tines are too weak and are too tenuously attached for it to be a tillage tool. This is for moving hay or straw. Could be off of an early side delivery rake or part of a grain binder.
