Thanks Steve for sharing that post. I’m happy to see that John isn’t all burnt as I expected could be the case. It really highlights how ‘good’ our race suits and helmets have become over the years.

William Janke lost control and hit the wall at 190 MPH at the 1/4 mile mark. We was ejected from the car…

His cage and harnesses were not sufficient to keep him in the car at a 190 MPH crash. That part I find shocking. I’m going to have a good look at the cage in my race car this week, especially since my son is starting to drive this car.

Something had to be wrong. If the car passed tech and he was strapped in, he should have been contained in the seat.
