That's Great. Congratulations. I've heard people say they were bored in retirement, I've never understood it. Enjoy the time with your friends and family. You've earned it, Enjoy!

I'm glad you're looking forward to it.
Personally, I dread the day that it comes for me, but to each his own.

That's awesome! I think we had 5 different retirement parties in the first 3 months and all my friends brought lots of bourbon. |

Congrats, BUT with all due respect, you are not yet retired. You are in about a year long transition process to true contentment.
There are milestones along the way that you will figure out the next day or maybe in a week. #1. - Everyday is now Saturday and the weekly grind cycle is no more. Enjoy the adventure for life 2.0

Congratulations. I'm hoping to join you soon.
My boss wants me to shift to 3 days a week for a while, but I think when I'm done, I'm done. Maybe in the next month. We have some big projects going, but I need to just let go and trust my co-workers to finish them up. |

I've done 3 days a week since the beginning of the year. I like it, however the commute is BRUTAL. It is 1:20 min to go 9.8mi as the crow flies.

Holy moly, nearly 50 years with the same company! That's crazy. I've been with the same company 13 years now, and that feels like forever. Before that my longest time at any one place was 3 years.

And BTW, I'm masraum because it's not yet my time. I'm guessing 10-15 years depending upon when I decide to finally bail.
