Retirement Day Finally Here
After 47 years 2 months and 27 days working/partner in the same company today is my last day. It has been a long arduous ride but paid off in the end.
Time for wife, grandkids, travel, Porsche and fishing! Cheers

Congrats on this milestone.
I have found retirement to be even better than expected. And I can always find fish.

After you've been retired for a while, you'll have so much to do that you'll wonder how in the heck you ever had time to go to work.
A friend of mine used to call this "commencement ". Enjoy Les

Awesome!!! I went to reduced hours / commitment on 7/1/23. My stress level is typically so low that I can't find any. My sleep has gotten WAY better. My wife is sick of seeing me. My dog seems pretty happy however. Altogether, it has been a fabulous move.
CONGRATULATIONS! |

Thanks guys for the kind words.
I will be taking Italian lessons to brush up, experiment with cooking, read, tour all the fantastic eating spots throughout the city, volunteering at church, taking care of my veggies and especially my 5 grandkids! They are having a dinner for me tonight which is great, but it is bittersweet. I'm sure I'll change my mind tomorrow morning when I don't have to get up at 4:30AM. What is really cool is I was gifted my company car and insurance as well as mine and my wife's cell phone, as well as gas card. In the immortal words of Sally Field "you really do like me". Shaun, I a waiting Cheers
