Good typing wireless keyboard?

I bought an expensive Logitech wireless keyboard. The Logitech G613 "gaming" keyboard. Now days the high end stuff seems to be geared towards gamers.

The G613 has one big flaw. It will start to double strike a key with just one tap. There are lots of threads and how to fix opinions. It is really annoying to have double letters when typing. It looks like they have discontinued that keyboard. I will never buy another Logitech product. They don't have nay tech support or software driver upgrade.

There are endless reviews of keyboards. I need a wireless unit, as my monster computer tower sits on the floor and I have my keyboard in a drawer. It is part of a nice furniture desk unit.

I remember the old keyboards were cheap, and lasted forever. Now they are crazy expensive, and rather poorly built.

Any recommendations?

And no, I have not taken my keyboard apart and tried the multiple suggested fixes. An expensive keyboard should not need to to fixed by the user. I have tried air blasts and changing the batteries. Keyboards should work as well as the ones from IBM in the 1980s. Those always worked and lasted forever with heavy use.

You can have my Model M, my Northgate Omni, or my Logitech G710 when you pry my cold dead fingers from 'em

Of course all are wired.

I would look into a usb -> bluetooth adapter that explicitly works with keyboards

Why do you need high end?
I bought a couple of Logitec wireless mouse and keyboards at work and they are fine for not much money.
The desks still have the 20 year old HP wired ones.

The keyboard has to have a number pad, and the key spacing to comfortably use it. My Logitech G613 has the a Bluetooth option, but I would have to hook up the antenna to the tower computer and there is no good place to put it, so I have Bluetooth turned off on the computer.

There is a difference in keyboards for typing feel.

Logitech K480. I have had two in 15 years or so, lots of travel so I have a road warrior and a home 480. I have a travel mouse as well.

I've had lots and lots of Logitech mice/trackballs wired and wireless, one wireless keyboard, and even a programmable remote control over the years and they've all been great. I'm surprised that you're having an issue.

What kind of switches do you want - clicky (feel and hear click), tactile (feel click), linear (no click)? Do you care about colorful backlighting or other features?

For not-expensive but good modern keyboards, I like Keychron. They have a bewildering number of models but you can filter down.

But what I like most of all is a plain old wired keyboard and mouse. You can get extender cables. No batteries, no Bluetooth glitches, no mouse lag.

I have a Keychron for travel (light, thin) but in the office I only use IBM Model M keyboards - though I'm assembling a repro of an IBM beamspring keyboard now.

I'm currently running one like the one piece wired keyboard in this photo (without the wrist pads).

Although I do want one of these. I just can't justify the expense.
