I’m a little south in PGI. Surge was almost a foot higher than Helene. Garage took 14” of water, minor wind damage, my boat is ok but moved off the bunks and hanging way off the lift. Tomorrow’s project.

I feel lucky. I expected 3-4’ in the house based on predictions.

Also in PGI. Definatly higher than Helene. We got about 6-8” in the garage. My boat is also catywampus.

A friend came by yesterday and with a chain hoist we were able to get the boat off the pylon, but nothing more. I replaced the $170 circuit breaker on the lift for the 2nd time but it just trips. I ordered a new control box as an electrician came buy and said they are pretty much toast if the water got in them. I may also have to replace the lift motors, but one thing at a time.

We were very fortunate that we didn’t have more damage as many in town were not as lucky. I won’t have enough damage to meet any deductible and I’m happy about that.

Probably too late, I just saw this.

I opened up all the boxes before energizing, rinsed out the boxes and conduit with fresh water, compressed air, then electrical cleaning spray (from Home depot). Fortunately my lift control box was just above the water line.

We were able to clean out a friends controller this way, water was almost to the top of his box, and it still works. He thought his motors were bad, but it was just the starting capacitors.
