Landman TV Series

Started Landman on Sunday, streaming now on Paramount. I think they are only going to air the first episode on TV, could be wrong but IIRC that is how they did Lioness as well. Another Taylor Sheridan series.

LOVED it!

I went to Midland about 2 years ago to help a buddy pick a jury. I can confirm that their shots of the area are pretty dang correct. Long straight roads with oil stuff everywhere. Trucks everywhere. They can't replicate the smell though.

During our jury selection we learned about 'landman'. The bulk of our 90+ potential jurors worked in the oil industry, we had several landman and got one of them to explain it to us and my partner and I had no idea what they did. I think the Billy Bob Thornton character may stretch it a bit but still pretty cool

Looks to be a good series, Billy Bob is fun to watch. Looking forward for
next episode. Has just a bit of humour, just enough

She is 27 so looking is OK.

Her line regarding how she and boyfriend are taking precautions re: sex, is priceless. Jaw dropping in fact.

The fingertip scene was strong.

BBT is very good in these sorts of shows...well very good in anything really. I like this show but can border on hokey here and there.

Looking forward to checking this out.

I bought all the land for my small recently sold equity back Company and we were upstream and midstream with assets only in West Texas. West Texas is my 2nd home.
I now work for the bigger company that bought us out.

From the trailer there is a lot of relatable scenes.

Forgot to mention: she was also in 1923, the Yellowstone prequel. She played the neighbor's daughter that was set to marry one of Harrison Ford's nephews

Also, if you aren't watching Lioness you should. It is great and another Sheridan series. Bunch of crossover characters to include the fixer lawyer from Yellowstone (who was also in 1883). Dale from Landman is in 1883 and Lioness.

Goliath was great!
But I’m not adding another streaming service, I don’t care how good the show is. Just got rid of Hulu after they jacked their prices by 20 percent. We’re down to only Netflix and I could do without that myself, but Vicki likes the shows on Netflix.

In case anyone is trying to recall Angela's former characters; this is her from Varsity Blues, a west Texas football movie from 1999.

After the starting QB goes down with career ending knee injury, she tries to bed the new QB with the infamous whipped cream bikini scene. Parents were at the 'gun club' and would be late because beer was half price or something that night.
