So they’re treating them as ied’s….

Either that’s overkill of some safety nut or they know something that they haven’t publicly disclosed.

onewhippedpuppy 12-13-2024 05:22 PM

Most people don’t know the difference between a Blackhawk and a 172….

greglepore 12-13-2024 05:35 PM

Correct, but FAA radar does. It'll read a Cessna at 500 ft just fine... and then track it to wherever it goes.
Medevac etc is in constant contact with ATC.
Now, yes, there are civilian ac that operate without radio or ads, but not in this fashion.
This isn't that, whatever it is.
If its operating with FAA knowledge, then someone isn't telling us the story.

I would hope we have something that could EMP one of those babies out of the sky

Well the comments from Washington currently have a “everything normal, nothing to see here” vibe, so I suspect they know exactly what is going on and are gaslighting us as usual. That or another example of incompetence, hard to tell those apart sometimes.

To be fair to the FAA, the videos I’ve seen of what appear to be quadcopter style drones don’t look all that big. They are also lit up like a techno club, way beyond navigation lights. They look like large commercial drones that likely wouldn’t show up on ATC radar especially at low altitudes. I’ve also seen several that are clearly business jets on approach with their landing lights on.

Now one has been spotted locally flying over a “Former” military base, which the media left out the “Former” part when the news feed came through. This will test if they can be shot down, considering the location.
There is a big Amazon facility in that area as well, could be testing for deliveries :D:Dhttp://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1734181162.jpg

Wendy's is already using them in a couple states.
You have to be within 6 miles of a Wendy's to use them.

Wouldn't happen here in Florida
Shot down and mounted above our fireplace by now

If you want to take the Tom Clancy 500 to 1000 page novel view, we are on page 63 right now in a story about creating mass hysteria, over time (more rodeos to come), for an ultimate takeover of the country.

I'll let you know who the main players are when we get to page 211 sometime late next year.

More to come.

The government is always happy to take away your rights in the interest of “safety”.

Actually it is happening, in Jacksonville.

And believe me, this is a area where people will try and shoot them down.

I'm not getting why every picture shown of them is a blurry bigfoot type photo? By now there should be hundreds of photographers on the coast with good cameras and lenses that should easily get some pictures. There must be money in it.

I noticed the same thing, I’m thinking that between the distance, speed and erratic motion, makes it impossible to get a decent picture.

Go try to photograph bright moving lights at night and see how they come out.

ckcarr 12-14-2024 05:34 AM

Well, I have shot a lot of planes and in particular medivac helicopters here at night because they fly right over my house, just like some of those people say the drones are doing over their property. With the right equipment, camera, lens, and shutter speed you can get very sharp pictures. And if you were waiting I suppose with a tripod and gimbal head one may or may not come along. It seems they aren't going that fast and aren't erratic.

That isn't using an iPhone however....

Agreed, the planespotting community is no joke. Our military aircraft that we kept under wraps for a year was all over the internet within hours of first flight. Guaranteed there are a lot of people with expensive cameras and lenses hanging around NJ.
