Computer question?
I have a Lenovo Chromebook that I sometimes use...would use it more except for one thing.
I use a wireless mouse and the problem is with that. I've tried switching mice and the usb receiver, and the problem stays.. When clicking on a page, as in random pics, I want to use the slider bar to skip to the newest pic, but the mouse won't let me. Whenever I move the cursor to the slider tab..the tab disappears and I have to use the mouse roller wheel to move to the bottom. The roller wheel on the mouse is much slower. Any ideas what's wrong?

It's the slider .... you need a snapper upgrade

"chromebook" = whatever Google OS those run. I have no "chromebook" specific experience, but I don't think this requires that.
THis is likely an application or OS setting, nothing to do with the mouse. When you start using the roller, does the thing that you'd grab come back? Usually, when the page is moving around, the thing that you can grab is visible, and then if you stop moving the page for a short period, it'll disappear. It may be possible to change a setting so that it's either always visible or to extend the period of time before it disappears.

They run Chrome..I'm not sure which version.
Yes the slider tab veers off the side when the cursor gets real close and moves back to where it was when the cursor is moved away. Makes it impossible to 'grab' onto it. I looked in the settings for the mouse and the only settings were speed, reverse scrolling, and controlled scrolling. I switched controlled scrolling to 'on' and it didn't affect it.

I can definitely live with how it works now....but I have to believe there is something simple that is making it act that way.

The only mouse setting that you could possible change would be the speed of the scroll wheel. I did a quick google search. Seems you're SOL. They want you to use 2 fingers on the touchpad. This one is probably most relevant to you. Someone is asking for their grandma who refuses to stop using a trackball. https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/226761039/how-to-stop-scrollbar-from-hiding?hl=en https://support.google.com/chromebook/thread/235667915/how-do-i-make-my-chromebook-always-show-scrollbars?hl=en

Hers is doing the opposite of mine....
"Trying to help my grandma, the scrollbars disappear when not hovering over them with the cursor. " My right side scrollbar disappears only when hovering with the cursor." If I use the mouse wheel instead of the scroll bar.....in the random pics thread, I need to roll the wheel twice for each pic....so, you can see why it takes a lot longer than just clicking and grabbing the slider for one pull.

As you said, I might have to play with the touchpad and see if that works better than the mouse.
I've never really tried using them much.
