Good news: Qatar 1812K live on YouTube now!
Bad news: it's an onboard feed from the #51 Ferrari with no commentary

Full coverage on Radiolemans.

Does not look like a good race for Porsche. No Porsches made it into hyperpole and I think one Porsche is out of the race in hour 1 ....

Door flies off the Valkyrie ....

A total cakewalk for Ferrari. 1-2-3 finish. It seems like Ferrari has been the dominant car in WEC, and they have been at Le Mans winning twice, but I believe this is only their 2nd regular season WEC victory (COTA being the other)! Porsche was not competitive at all after BoP adjustments added a bunch of weight Cadillac was strong and would have been competitive but the team cars collided on a restart early on.

Good news for US fans though with Ben Keating (and Juncadella and Edgar) and Corvette taking the GT3 win!

2025 Le Mans entry list. Looks like 3 IMSA GTPs in addition to the normal WEC cars. So 4 Cadillacs, 4 Porsches. Of course, having more cars is not the advantage it used to be. In days past, it was more a race of attrition. Now it's a 24-hour sprint race with most of the field finishing on the same lap!

IMSA, Racer, HSR, and everyone else on the interweb is reporting 260 entries for the Sebring Classic 12 Hour this weekend. 260??? That sounds like a LOT of cars to me. Is that even possible? Looks more like 60-70 total entries on the official list. The Daytona Classic last year had 140 entries.

And it seems like 90% of these "classic" HSR events these days consist of 5-10 year old cars and only a handful of pre-2000 stuff Hmmm, might skip it and wait for the real 12 Hour next week.

Small dose of honestly here: Went for the 100th a few years back. Super happy I did but from a spectator standpoint it's not great.

The sheer # of people makes it a pain, human tide, uncomfortable most of the time, lines everywhere... Parking sold out early also and it's no joke, had to find alternate transportation.

Surprisingly not that much of the track is spectator accessible. I hear you can access the chicane on the main straight but never found a way (looked all day). 95% of crowds are between the porsches curves and the beginning of the straight, so all around the start line.. Lots of fencing, too many people, limited viewing..

Unlike IMSA no access to paddock unless you're special..

My recommendation ? Go see Sebring, Daytona, enjoy the US events approachability, go see Le mans IF you have a team badge / access to suites.. Or watch on TV, much better ! Do Go see Le mans Classic in person however (now that is cool and less claustrophobic and way more access). On my bucket list is to one day buy an entry on a porsche team (something relatively slow like a 356) and take part in that..

Marshals were pissed at the Daytona HSR with only five cars running. I think many would have preferred it cancelled with that car count.

^^^ Good info on Le Mans. Thanks.

Turns out there are 69 entries for the Sebring Classic. About what it usually is. I don't know where that crazy 260 number came from. Out of that 69, there are approximately 25 cars that are pre-2000. And nearly all of those are Porsches in the lower classes that are not really historically significant. I think the days of seeing vintage GTP, Group C, Group 5 cars at these types of events is gone. The $$ values of these cars have relegated them to static displays and private collections

The circus has arrived. We walked out of the restaurant tonight and the mall parking lot had become a staging area.

For a Weds, it was busier than I've ever seen. When I was at the office yesterday, the guy said he had 400 voicemails overnight and was not even going to attempt to call them back. Weathertech practice starts tomorrow.

BMW's 50-year livery is pretty cool:

Maybe Lamborghini sets this up at all races?? I had not seen it before. It's a massive building that looks like a full-scale dealership. It was shipped from Squadra Corse HQ in Michigan with 5 semi trucks. It's located near T15.

And, obviously, Meyer-Shank Acura is monitoring this thread and took note of our criticism of their liveries at Daytona. They have modified both liveries and it is somewhat of an improvement ....
