If anyone in the movie bizz asked me to suggest a new Bond
(it could happen) I'd suggest Mark Webber. Got the looks, got a propper accent, or close enough, and can drive a car, quite well I think. And a little mean too

I was rooting for Idris Elba, but I guess he's too old to be Bond for too long. Tom Hardy would be awesome, but I guess he's a recovered drug and alcohol addict. I guess they can't risk a relapse. I'd suggest Brandon Sklenar, based on what I've seen of him in 1923. No British accent, though.

I didn't know who that was. A quick google says that you're correct.

I would go with Chris Pine, Christian Bale or maybe Orlando Bloom. AI to help with a British accent if needed though Pine and Bale could pull one off with coaching I am sure.

as a serious Doctor Who fan, that is an intriguing choice. I fear I'd be waiting for James Bond to say wibbly wobbly timey wimey (one of the best episodes!) or something similar though. ![]()

He can do a very dark side, but yes, "Bond, wibbly wobbly James Bond".

Kill it for good, reboot the series with Bond as a woman.
![]() Seriously though I’m not sure I’d the modern PC police would allow a new proper Bond film. Boozy violent sexist womanizer, I’m sure somebody would complain about toxic masculinity or some such nonsense. Meanwhile it would probably be a hit….

No, he would be the modern equivalent of Roger Moore as 007.

He might be OK. I'm not sure if he can be "bad azz" enough, but he's got the looks and accent for sure.

Reboot it with somewhat more realistic spy procedures, realistic threats and fighting scenes (mind, they did fights much better with D Craig). I don't think the over the top stunts "fly" as well these days, it's become a parody of itself... Maybe a little more Bourne like, less XXX like..

I do like the Bourne movies, the recent MI movies, and the Craig Bond movies. They are all very similar in many ways. The MI movies may be a little further from the "more realistic" and more "over the top" than the others, but they are still really well done.

I would put him between Moore and Brosnan when Brosnan says he never misses.

Besides the actors that did play 007, I have no idea who these people you are talking about.
