Thanks man! I get about 10mpg with it, but have seen better lower depending on where I am and if its really windy. I got anywhere from 8-12mpg with my F350 pulling my old one so I figure 10mpg is not horrible for how heavy it is. The best part is it will do 70+ miles per hour all day long even going over the passes.

Appreciate it ryans65, since I can work remotely it has been my office away from home on more than one occasion.... I drive then pull over and throw on a dress shirt for the TEAMS call and no one is the wiser!

I don’t have the truck or trailer anymore, but this is what I had years ago. A 1964 Streamline trailer and a 2006 3/4 ton dodge PU.

My truck tent. I've been using it for the last 10 years, about 3 times a year. Sebring, Road Atlanta and Daytona. It's no RV Motorcoach but I paid $400 for it so you can't beat the cost per night. Everything in the photo packs into the bed under the cover. It's survived a rainstorm once at Daytona HSR that seemed like a hurricane without leaking a drop and one year at the Rolex that was below freezing. This shot is at the '24 Rolex early morning.

That was the longest night of my life last October. Now in my 60's with sleep apnea it wasn't the same as in my 20's with the 100# girlfriend....I've had this bus since the 80's.

Was tired of staying at dive hotels near race tracks so decided to start camping at the track.
Picked up this used Lance 850 for our Ram dually.
It has 200 watt solar panels and a lithium battery.
Slide in campers are small but still great for a long race weekend and with the camper installed can easily tow my 8,000lb loaded race car trailer.
Slide in campers have no registration, no insurance, no tax if private party, no engine, no smog, no tires aging out.

Dually had to get a big rear sway bar and Torklift stable loads on the rear springs and heavy duty shocks all around.

Had to get the hitch extension and the weight distribution hitch and the frame mounted camper tie downs.

Added a front hitch and bike rack. Race car trailer loaded left no room for the bikes.

It appears there are parking lots full of trailers here waiting to be sold.
I follow mainly used Lance trailers through the forum. Prices seems to have settled back down. We bought ours, which was 3 years old at the time, in October of 2019. I would never buy a new one.

Very nice . Back in the 60's and 70's Airstream/Avion/Streamline and Silver Streak were the main players in aircraft construction for travel trailers . Sadly only Airstream survived .

The old VW campers with the 6 foot long shift rod was terrible to shift.
It felt inevitable on a family vacation that a missed shift was going to mechanically over rev the engine.

here is our 2003 Winnebago Vista 21B. Uses a VW Eurovan drivetrain, gets about 18mpg. They only made about 940 of them for three years. They are perfect for two people, thou they say it sleeps five. Has everything a big unit has, but is only 21' long, which is shorter than a four door full size pickup truck. I just listed it for sale if anyone is interested.

we bought this last year at an estate sale. Good bones but sat next to a corn field a few years. Slowly getting it back into shape. Moved the batteries to the rear and swapped to two 200ah LiFePo and added an inverter because living on 12v only sucks sometimes.
