Do you put the Macan on your lift Glen?

Nevermind !

Do you ?

Only for oil changes. Not for battery changes!
The Macan is tall enough, I can't get it very high. With my 91, I can max out the lift.

Have you hooked it up yet ? I ask because I " think " you need a scanner to tell the car what battery you are installing .

Don't rule out a Durametric Pro . I have the enthusiast model but the Pro version can do more . If you already have a laptop computer you are halfway there . If I was computer savvy I would get a PIWIS clone . They are available for under a 100 bucks . Pre tariff

I used to be computer savy ... not even a laptop now .

Gotta be stand-alone ... no phones/downloads/subscriptions, etc.

I think I'm gonna get an Icarsoft POR (seems to be 3 versions)... not sure which version is most appropriate for a 2017 ... might just order the 3.0 version before anyone else wakes up .

I'm retired .... and I have busy day ahead of me

You will have to tell the car via the OBD2 device the type of battery (glass mat or wet cell) the serial number, a part number, and the amp hours of the battery.

I used the old battery's part number, I just changed the last number on the serial number of the old battery, the amp hours are on the new battery and it had a few more amp hours than the old one, and of course it was a glass mat.

Then you will need to test the functions of the the windows, doors sunroof and other electrical items to be sure they remembered the positions. All of that is programmable.
