I’d like to know who makes the beautiful headers (with cute little heat exchangers) on the car.
According to the guy in the video, they are working with folks to develop some custom headers. I think he said that the particular set on the car had been made with/by cargraphics?

Meh. You can mod while maintaining character. Hell, even when they were new they were modded.

People have been modding Porsches for a LOOOONG time. More power, better handling, etc...

Elephant racing is a distributor. They don’t list the price, so I assume it ain’t cheap. They list a contact for info.

I could live with the exterior even though, yes, the stripes might make some think it's a pride car. I didn't like the blue interior either.

I remember years ago, lots of folks looking for what I think was a "saratoga top" which was an acrylic or lexan "targa" top that was an aftermarket alternative years ago. I thought it was kind of cool that they had one, but like Jay mentioned, it was going to be hot. I'd rather either have the folding top or just have a lightweight f/g top. When I had my targa, I could stop at a stoplight and take it off and slide it unfolded behind the seats without leaving the driver's seat which was convenient. I think I could also put it on from the driver's seat that way.

I thought it was interesting that the guy showing the car to Jay didn't seem to be an expert on them, or maybe he was just not wanting to correct Jay for the video. It was probably some manager than wanted to meet Jay rather than a technical guy.
When I had my ‘88 Targa I was always looking for a good quality hard top replacement for my factory Targa top. Something that might add some rigidity and seal up a little better than the factory one. Never did find one.

My son’s C6 has the factory optional translucent hard top, after he used it a few times it now hangs on my garage wall. It gets HOT inside that car with the tinted top, feels like a gimmick unless you live somewhere super temperate.

I think the guy that started ER used to be a regular here on the 911 tech board. I'm not positive, but I think his name was Chuck Moreland, maybe??

If somehow I ever decided to spend that sort of coin on a 911, I would ship my 911 to RUF, and have them do their magic, and for less money. That will happen right after I win the lottery, and our congress starts to work together for the betterment of the citizens and not themselves.

Love the paint--same schema they had on their 911 targa turbo back in the day (except that was over silver) and their 911 grafted with a 928 front homebrewed flatnose.

Amen on all accounts! There are a lot of really well done 911s out there, but Ruf has a heritage the others can’t match.

Looks reversible, no permanent mods, total stealth 150 HP. The net 170 lb added, you could lose most of that in other reversible and pretty stealthy mods. 237 +150 = 387 or more than an early gen Turbo. Think any chance its DIYable for <$10K? $15K?

I wonder about the regen braking. Do you really want extra braking on the rear wheels in a 911? Wonder if they adjust the brake balance.
