I am blown away, Milwaukee's new compact wrench

450 -500 tq. weight about two lbs and it is a monster, short and compact too. My guy bought one because we needed to tighten some bolts under the house with limited room. Now, I want this for around my house to keep from busting knuckles. Adjustable tq setting and I tell you, it removes lug nuts with ease on a typical size pick up.

I am so impressed with modern power tools. Sadly I am afraid its just a matter of time that this battery tech will be the norm for cars. |

1300 removal lb ft torque and 900 lb ft tightening torque that's what my 1/2 " Ridgid 18v gun has . Just amazing and it's more powerful than my air guns ! It laughs at all lug nuts . I can raise/lower the stabilizer jacks on our 5th wheel camper in seconds . It is crazy how powerful and easy to use these have become .

I have the compact M18 version. It’s incredible. My old air powered impact is now completely obsolete.

I have a HF Hercules 20V lithium battery impact that looks really similar and is pretty awesome. I’m sure not as good as the Milwaukee, but it takes everything I’ve thrown at it. Also have one of their electric ratchets and love it, probably my most useful tool ever.

Dang it. This post just cost me $174.97. I have a ratchet and drill driver that use M12 batteries so I bought the bare tool. I love the light compact drill, as it has impact to very light settings. I can drive a deck screw into the stockade fence or drill a hole in whatever.

I have an air power impact that will loose with up to 600 pound feet, but I have to crank up the very noisy compressor, and wait for it to fill up. Those M12 batteries have an amazing charge and I don't have to charge them often And the tool shows you how much charge they have left.

Its the small size that blows me away. Its tiny, fits into my hand very well, getting into tight places is a huge plus. Sure the bigger more powerful ones have their place but this little thing is amazing for its size. If I get this, it will be like my 1/4" drive ratchet that I always grab if I need to loosen something. Similar to a phillips head screwdriver that's on a dedicated Milwaukee drill sitting in the top drawer a small light weight powerful little guy.

I am also thinking getting their pistol grip blower. I have a Dewalt garden blower but this thing look damn powerful for general cleaning or just blow some of the leaves off the porch. Small stuff but the small tool size is worth its weight in gold. Let me find it for you so you can spend more money. I know you are a sucker for tools or was that Paul? Hang tight. Here you go Glen. Now, I can get my room back and toss that small compressor. Its only used to blow out, clean some things. I think I am going to buy them both. I know my wife uses our Dewalt garden blower and complains it being a bit heavy for lengthy use. Once she sees this, she will take it. She already has a elect pruner. That thing is bad ass, man. 'effortless cutting of branches up to about 1 1/4" thick without breaking a sweat (me, the tool also).

For using my air hammer, air chisel, or airing up my tires, I will keep my air compressor. Yea, they don't get a lot of use, like the compressor. But sure handy when needed.

I have an electric leaf blower and string trimmer. Both replaced 2 stroke pieces of equipment.

For what we do, it is so much easier to blow out plumbing lines or just anything that require a typical old air nozzle. The good thing is, it will blow a large volume of air for cleaning too unlike the compressed air, only good for cleaning tight, tiny stuff. I think it will get used a lot for general cleaning with the bigger nozzle. Its something we do not miss until we have it then ask why didn't I get this sooner.

Ii have a few Milwaukee tools and they’re smaller and lighter than the Dewalt tools. I like them. I don’t know how powerful my Milwaukee 3/8 drive is though. It’s nice to have duplicates though, so you don’t have to swap sockets, etc.

I remember when my 1991 craftsman plug-in 12” impact wrench was the cat daddy. I broke quite a few bolts with that thing. Then I got a snap on torque wrench. ![]()

. I have gone full electric Dewalt finish and brad guns. No more tripping over hoses. If I was doing any finish work, I still like the feel of the old Senco finish guns attached to the old compressor. The finish nailers are a bit heavy and bulky

At the end of the day, they are all pretty competitive in terms of power and pricing. Sadly thing about batteries is that we can't seem to let go of old worn out batteries even if they only have 10 min or run time.
