Radical rethink of open wheel design

I love this out of the box stuff.

I believe we all make mistakes but I will not validate your poor choices and/or perversions and subsidize the results your actions.

The number 66 on that car is apropos; with that squared off nose, it definitely has a '60's vibe.

I like the look, especially the way the designer resolved the canopy, and I hope something like this shows the way forward, especially if sponsors don't revolt from the missing billboards.
Not lost on me, the fact that the lead photo shows the car in opposite lock around a corner which is exactly what my lizard brain assumes will happen if the rear wing falls off. (I get it, cars of the future will have technology to combat this but a lifetime of winged race cars creates a perception of vehicle dynamics in my mind.)

Ferrari designed a similar sidepod shape back in the '90's.

He's also a Porschephile. At the last Rennsport, I saw a guy in a driving suit and thought, "hey, that looks a lot like JR Hildebrand," only to find put later that he was actually driving in the event.
