I suspect I read about 80 -100 posts for every one I make.
I learn more that way.
I hope.

Maybe we need a click counter too!

Sort of like how they always say you have two ears and one mouth, therefore you should listen twice as much as you talk. I always liked that saying.

Even I have read way more than I post. Many posts I read, I have no real comment on. And the posts I do reply to, I try to read the entire post before I add my two cents.

What's the real question or thought here? I know you better that to take this at face value.

Nope Milt ... this thread was about us .

I read Pelican a LOT before I ever bought my 911 and made my first post ....

I bet y'all regret me buying it now doncha ... but I read a ton more than I post....

And have no problems just jumping to the bottom and posting away and rarely watch links, etc. now that I visit exclusively on a tiny phone.

I learned from the best of 'em too? .... write hear on PPOT

I really never posted that much in the tech forum, everybody there was smarter than me. But I read for days.

Well then, probably 200 to 300,000. I never missed a Grady Clay or Early_S_Man post. And those are 2 of hundreds. I'd have to say the majority aren't even here anymore. If I have 37K+ posts it's not at all a stretch to say I've read 10X what I've replied to.

Actually, as I think about it. I was citing threads. I don't always read every post in a thread. Back when I was building cars I probably did read to the end and came back several times until it died. So individual posts read might be over half a million.

The statistic says I post 4.36/day and I'm certain that I look at 20+ threads per day even now. IDT I can even guesstimate. One thing I do know is that at one point the forum deleted a block of my posts so my actual post count is short.

When they posted the 10 posters per number of posts I might have hit the top 10 once briefly. Look at some of these folks now past 50K.

I think Denis made the point once about how much time in your life was spent here. Scary.

FWIW, I've read every post on this thread...but hell, I'm retired & now handicapped...got nothing better to do. Right now, killing time before heading to the hospital for an MRI.

Milt ... my dawg asked me the question ? I speed read, used to drive a screen all day and did nuthin' but read tech threads, etc. and spent hours on here each day .... multi-tasking and rarely posting in tech ...

Then I discovered PPOT and tho' I only use a phone and still read a lot .. and post a lot of nonsense too .... I don't spend that much time "actually on here" each day...

And now the pay $uck$

If I've made 30K posts .. I've read a BIGLY number more ... easily over a million... or 2 ...

I blame it all on Wayne too

On average I've posted 2.4 posts per day. I easily read 40 per day, probably more.

40x365x24 years.... 350,400 on the low end.
