it was a riding mower, my sister and friend driving while another friend and I wrestled. he flipped me over in front of the mower and they drove it over me. my jeans tangled up the blade and killed the motor. I made it over half way there and last thing I remember was going over railroad tracks in Raceland. yep... kept the arm and leg and added major scars to my collection. that was maybe 1960-61..the hospital bill was $25,000 and the doctor didn't charge us. guess I was test subject for new surgical techniques. the guy I saw leaving the operating room as they wheeled me had just had his arm removed.. looked sort of like a bone in ham to me as I went under. quite an experence for a 5yr old. just another day in my life
