Yep. Gil Southworth sold him the entire collection, IIRC. I've never heard another tele that sounded like that guitar.

Growing up we had that exact same set. Whenever I asked my father a question, he would respond, "go get the ___ volume of the encyclopedia" and then he would help me look it up. One Saturday I asked him about boomerangs. We looked it up and spent the rest of the day making one. When it actually worked, I was in awe - both because it was super cool, and because my dad had very little mechanical skills, but he was a smart man. I felt like I could do anything if I could find it in the World Book.
