Last week, Verstappen's car shifted to neutral a bunch of times on it's own when he was leaving the pits.

Sounded to me like massive wheel spin in the first couple of gears, probably not the best traction surface.

By missing a gear what I observed was that he hit the same gear when upshifting. He shifted again almost immediately but the bike was gone.

I think they cut the video in a very confusing way. Watching the nose cam view from 0:22, I count: OK launch in 1st then wheelspin, wheelspin all through the 2nd, wheelspin until just before max revs in the 3rd, then torque limited from there on.
