Glasgow 911SC - would you swap the weather for the Rangers? It can be a bugger trying to get the UK games on the TV in the States.

Halm,
Transplant is moving forward. Need to do the wiring for the front part of the car and correct some small issues. Exhaust needs to be modified to fit (SSIs) or buy B&B then its time to make some noise! I am also backdating the car at the same time, so its not just the 3.6 that is taking time. I have just been too damm busy flying all over the place as well as I needed to find a place to work on the car. My garage is too small to do it justice. Glasgow, you can move anytime but better to come to Nevada, Arizona or New Mexico! Cali is getting full and is way past bankrupt. We live here and spend an hour on the airline going to the beach. Works better that way! JoeA

Sounds good, Joe. Be sure to post as many pictures as possible for us "out of town'ers" when you start making noise.

Lots of pictures but will post them when I get it done. There is not that much different with mine at this time compared to other transplants.
My problem is that I have been too busy with work and bought a newer Jag (below) that is too much fun to drive. I need to get the 911 going though and remember what real horsepower is about! I will post them on my webpage for all give me trouble about! Joe

Glasgow,
Bring some of the local "dew" with you when you come. There will be no problem with finding friends and places to sleep! ![]() Joe

Yes, Spring has come early to So. Cal. I just got back from Starbucks where the twenty-something girls are in shorts. The one who wasn't in shorts was in very low-riding hip huggers that had a problem hugging her hips. Hmmm...looked like she forgot to wear underwear too.

Man! Now this is tempting! With the way my team are playing I would be better off leaving them behind!
When I was in NY in Aug/September I managed to see a Rangers game in a pub called the Village Tavern (i think) on corner of bedford st. I also saw a few men dressed as (ugly) woman having an arguement in the street! After getting dumped by my girlfriend maybe imigration isn't such a far off prospect afterall. ![]()

No (roof) rack here. But it's a balmy 38 degrees. Tomorrow, the chain saw portion of clean-up after the ice storm begins. Just think, FREE firewood! I feel sorry for you poor Southern Cal guys...nothing to do but watch bikini clad beach bunnies...

I seriously love it in Glasgow. I dont know what it is about that place, but it seems more like home there than Los Angeles. People are also more real there.

I truly enjoy the no B.S. attitude in Paris. Despite what's been said on this board, those people are straight-shooters there. The only caveat. Don't speak English. Speak French. Or just try. They're very considerate if you try.
Florence, IT., is the best. Great weather, those mountains, and the food... Tokyo - it's "Blade Runner." And scary!

Anyone seen Lost in Translation? Very funny. Highlights a few cultural differences.

mmmm.... Scarlett Johannson......
A very true depiction of what it's like to be a stranger in a strange land. The odd part of that is that I myself have lived my whole life in Los Angeles, and i still dont get it here. The best thing i ever did was go travelling and wander around the world and see just different it is out there. It very much also opened my eyes at just how laughable the behaviour of most American people is. Last edited by Jared at Pelican Parts; 01-12-2004 at 10:31 AM.. |

I moved to Berlin in 87 not knowing more than two or three words in German. Was very interesting living there for the first year or so until I got better with the language. Lived in Denmark in 1999 and it was a lot easier because more people spoke English and seemed friendlier.
Still miss Berlin... JoeA
