"He just dropped out"... I mean he was told his children were vulnerable and it was a good idea...I mean he took the millions left in the donation chest and split town... I mean....
It's Kerry vs. Nader vs. Big Bird. Yup BB is still goin' strong in the race..

Neither Kerry nor Edwards have very much money in the campaign war chest right now - as of late Feb Kerry had $2MM in cash and Edwards $0.5MM. Bush had $104MM at the end of January.
We can expect an all-out blitz of Republican advertising from now until the national conventions, both using Bush's $104MM, an additional $25-55MM Bush plans to raise, and probably tens of millions in soft dollars. After the conventions in August, Bush and Kerry (presuming Kerry is the nominee) get $75MM each in public money for the final campaign. Kerry had better take some quick lessons in fundraising from Howard Dean . . . Source of data: Washington Post.

My understanding is that Kerry is now in debt. Bush is ready to unleash his TV campaign....starting tomorrow.

Kerry is about to raise a boatload of $$, and Bush can show himself prancing around on the aircraft carrier 10,000 times, unless the front page news changes he is toast.
"One term George, part II". And all of you Republicans secretly wish for a Democrat president economy anyways, right?" ![]()

the world according to Newt:
"If he could talk her into it, I think the strongest vice-presidential candidate, without any question, would be Senator Clinton," Gingrich said. "People either love her or hate her. That's what conventional wisdom is. I believe she is one of the two most competent Democrats in politics, and she's married to the other one." |

Wayne, I agree 100% about the independants, but I don't think that Bush has them at this point either. Time will tell.

Senator Clinton would be a strong choice for VP with her best in class fundraising abilities and national recognition. It all depends, as I read recently whether Kerry would like being a "second fiddle to a second fiddle". Of course it could backfire as it seems that Republicans fear and hate her as much as the Dems hate W and it might actually galvanize the base to counter the beat Bush at any cost movement!
