I ordered a new Osprey nest today from the folks that know. I'll elevate and fix after they leave. Think I need a new one?

Even the Illegal Canadian Geese are appalled.

I built the thing when we moved here in 1996.

Good news is the baby Osprey's (there is no specific name for them) are fliers and the family will be fine if the nest goes swimming in a storm. Trust me, trying to replace it now would be painful...for me.

One of the smaller frogs I've seen in my lifetime. My wife is holding the leaf out of the way.

Too cool! What a great idea. Watch the parents feed the youngins fresh fish. You must have anchored it well to last this long

First attempt at milky way shot on back porch. More of a proof of concept than a real effort at a quality photo. Having lots of fun playing with the new camera and lenses.

Spent some time with one of my former students yesterday - has a huge Hot Wheels collection and gave me some of his cars - mostly the Porsches but kept the 2 Fords. There's also a Ferrari and a Lambo....

He kept his case too...lol......

These are the 2 he kept...the Maverick and a Mustang:

We also went to a local flower nursery where I picked up some stuff and he a few things. He gave me these two nice Fishtail Palms that he had grown out from smaller ones he bought from Lowes - I'm assuming those were 3 gal. size. He also gave me the Foxtail Palm in the second photo. Just wanted to free up some space. In turn, I gave them to a friend down the street here that could use them more than me. Paying it forward.....

Neat! I still remember being in the 2nd grade and finding a huge Luna Moth on the side of our red brick house! It was almost 5" across. Looks like that one is a polyphemus moth.

Stuff my dad gave me. I would say everything‘s at least 65+ years old.

We’ll, maybe not the boolets. They might be 50.
