You want random, you can't handle random!

Groundhog Condo's:

My neighbors farm above. You can see the combine finishing the beans. We prefer a more aggressive approach.

I had to pay a HOA fee for Dottie to sniff.

Working on my 2005 BMW 330, I found this little guy hidden behind the dashboard.

What does it do?

Grew up on a dairy farm in NY. We used to be really careful in our fields. Hitting one of these mounds would tear up our equipment. If my family were into guns, I likely would have been a good sniper.

Last night two lots down from me.
Someone missed the curve and went over the cliff.
No body was found, so either they were not hurt too bad, or it was a TikTok
challenge.
This car was registered up here, so it was a local and the speed limit on all association roads is 25mph.
Apparently, there is a reason for the restriction.

IOM TTs. Blowing by so close and so fast feels like standing on the shoulder of the interstate when a semi goes by. I almost dropped my beer.

Driver probably had a few stiff drinks and may have been texting on their phone and crawled out of the vehicle and left the scene so he/she didn't have to be subjected to a field sobriety or breathalyzer test.

What? That's as good a theory as any.

When they tie the vehicle to the owner, more info may emerge.

random pics that YOU have taken.......

Rolled in from work at 0330 this morning. We live in a rural area and I’ve been seeing a lot of bear activity. In fact, the most I’ve seen in the 23 years we have lived here. Anyway, several garbage cans were exploded on our road and Mrs Bugs didn’t get a chance to run the can up before dark. So I drag our can up with my trusty light and Roscoe in my pocket, just in case.

I discover a large pile of bear skat at the top our drive. My 11.5” shoe is scale..

Either that it’s our local squatch rolling around again…. Come to think of it, there was a lot of owl hooting going on when I got out of the car.

From Seahawk:

It almost seems they like to leave a little (or pretty good size) calling card.
I've come across bear droppings on a few different trails, I remember my BIL complaining about a pile left in a difficult section of solid rock a few yards from the 6,745' Little Jack summit... in a spot the trail forced you to step in it. He had to twice (going up and back down) and was not happy about it.

Took a lap around the Mt. loop highway last Wednesday-
53 mile route that's got 13 miles of unpaved and seriously potholed road following a few different river courses.
There are great logging road access points to multiple peaks, lakes and views.
Fall colors have peaked and there's fresh snow at 4500-5000' and above

Recent rain has the rivers and North Fork Sauk falls full and impressive-

Did I mention I love the North Cascades?
