And some people dissin' the Killians Red too? That stuff is great, c'mon. Leinenkugel Red is good too but I've only seen it in Michigan. I don't mean to change this thread to a "which beers are good thread", but the honor of good beer must be defended. Im sure you all understand.

I bought a 6-pack of this crap when I was in NC circa summer 1995. It tasted, I **** you not, like a hot dog with mustard. I couldn't choke the first one down. The second I opened a week or two later when I was desperate for a beer. Same thing, awful. I gave one to a friend who'd eat/drink anything in mass quantities. He passed. I left the remaining 3 in the fridge for my roommate when I moved out. I cannot remember the name, but I think the bottle or label was blue. Anyone have a guess as to what that might have been?

2nd worst: Red Hook ESB. Had it once. Horrible
3rd Worst: Coors Silver Bullet (To the freaking brain) One Beer = Hangover, WTF??

How can you all say Red Dog gives a hangover, there's barely enough alcohal to give a buzz. Last I recall.

Once I had a beer that actually had a jalapeno pepper in it.

It was Jalapeno Beer. No kidding.

It sucked.

I had that, Eddie McStiff's. Moab, Utah. Weird, but not nasty. Not nasty like the beer I just wrote about. 9 (nine) 9, years later I can still remember how nasty that was. Dammit, I can't remember the name, I don't want to make the same mistake twice.

Couldn't agree more...college fishing trip, 2 cases of that god-awful stank...and not another nickle to get any more. My brother and his friend had Coors or something like that and they wouldn't kick down. Still haven't forgiven them yet.

Brew 102

As a Man of Wealth and Taste you have to understand that I consider all beer to be bad...it is well you know too common.

Now a nice glass of Sauvigion Blanc or Merlot is quiet nice. Followed by a nice Port or Sherry after dinner....Later a Napleon Brandy with a Cigar and it is like rememberiing heaven.

In college (San Diego, CA) we used to get Meisterbrau for large parties. It was like $2.99/case or $30-ish/halfkeg or something like that; basically a Bud clone and really not all -that- bad if you were planning to drink 10 or 15, in which case taste matters little.

All-in-all I think beer is kinda like sex...none of it is bad, but some is just better!

Keystone - absolute pisswater.

Ditto Heineken.

Pretty much any "mainstream" beer sucks balls - Bud, Miller, Amstel, Killians, Lowenbrau, etc. The only one I like is Sammy. "Always a good choice" - indeed!
