Wonder if we will see a ban on detectors in CA at some point. The CHP has sure been gunning the highways lately. Ka band.

No way..

DC and VA are the only states that still grasp on to that law... Like it makes a difference.

They take them from you if you have MD plates ( or any state where there legal ) and they are required to send them to you in the mail ( their knickel for postage ) and you can fight the ticket in court, as you can just say it wasn't on and they are legal everywhere else..

Californians will never let that happen...

They like laser more - no detection risk.

Also, there have been "detector detectors" around for a long time. Most radar detector units newer than 4-5 years old (the better ones anyway) incorporate what's called "VG2" blocking, in other words, they block "detector detectors".

I agree totally! Then there are "detectors" that tell every cop within a mile radius: "here I am"...
