Is that the part in the Bible where you defy Revelations and rewrite the Bible to make it a little more gay friendly?...Could you site that passage for me?

I'm not rewriting the Bible, and where did I say that I approved of either abortions or gay marriage? I don't. I'm not voting for them on the basis of these policies - I vote in spite of them.

Don't even try and pretend that the other side doesn't have Bible unfriendly policies.

I'm now going skiing for the weekend, so I'll leave it that I consider it better to support a party which promotes peace and tolerance, and works towards bettering poor people than one which sticks to the letter of the Bible's law on abortion and whatever exactly you perceive for gay people's rights (it doesn't condemn homosexual people, only homosexual relations), but gives poor people (the bottom 1/3 of your country) a raw deal. And supports the death penalty (which I reckon is abhorrent).

I may be wrong, but I've thought about it. You can bring up all the passages in the bible you like, but remember there are 10 commandments and loveing God and your neighbour are the most important ones - I'll always fall back on that.

Do yourself a favor, don't conflate the big-business of infanticide (killing the innocent) with killing murderers.

I am sure the Good Lord is awaiting your defense..."Well, Father, you are a little out of touch with the way we humans take care of business...So cut me a little slack and quit being so intolerant would ya?"

as far as the bottom 1/3 who hardly pay any taxes !
even welfare have color TVs. The standard of living in this country for welfare is higher than for blue collar workers in the 1920s and 1930s, maybe even the 1940s. They haven't gotten a new car every 3yrs Yet. Empathy is wonderful until someone tries to destroy your family and friends. Those that trash Bush can have a good time imo. He's focused and serious about protecting every person in this country. How long before kerry's center left base starts making decisions about the importance of spending more on the role of a centralized gov't with it's freebies than on the military. His position now has morphed from the Howard Dean inspired anti-war position to the current Bush lite. Kerry goes with the flow of his base. Bush pisses of his base. To figure who's getting screwed think about the anti-war groups that believed in Howard Dean and were told to believe in Kerry. Kerry stroked them in the beginning but now Kerry doesn't even consider their beliefs.. or acknowledge them. The bottom line imo is if you Now believe we are All at war.

I said I don't agree with either. As far as I am concerned, while abortion is worse, the death penalty isn't much better. Lock them up for the rest of their lives - just don't kill.

Voting... If Bush wins again, will abortions stop?

Didn't think so. So it should only have a relatively moderate bearing on any voting decision.

Completely separate rant:

Where do you sit on abortion anyway? Is it ever ok (rape, incest, potential or likelihood of mother's death)? What about the Morning After Pill? Or the Pill itself, which (I understand) has a secondary effect of making it impossible for a fertilised egg to implant itself in the uterus. If (as Catholics do) you take the moment of conception being fertilisation, then this constitutes abortion.
