Don't these things allow for removable storage?

I just got (won, actually), a mini IPod. 4GB of non-removable memory. ~ 1000 song capacity.
And I am plenty happy with it! -Z.

removable storage blows for this application imho. Firewire is plenty fast for sync with a computer, and as the storage sizes increase, 99.9% of users have more than they can handle.

Nostatic: I agree with you - removable storage would slow things down, and frankly, for me, 4GB is plenty of space. Plus if I run out of space, I ca always delete some stuff I don't listen to anymore! (And load it back later...)
Question: I know the regular IPod using some type of mini hard drive. Is the same true for the mini IPod? I looked on Apple's website, but could not find any info on it. The reason I ask is because I feel absolutely no vibrations when the thing is playing, and I assume a mini-hard drive would have to spin and no matter how small and lightweight it is, that movement would still translate into some sort of vibrations. -Z.

So how are they getting 40 to 60 GB? Through a minidrive?
