I am an architect, and I 'm telling you that buildings are also symbols.

Did you forget the twin towers?

The Statue of Liberty is a symbolic building. I don't think they had voting there. Maybe it would have been intimidating to vote at the Eiffle Tower or the Taj Mahal, fortunately that was outside my district.

Religeous buildings have symbolism designed in (churchs in the shape of a cross for instance). Office buildings are big and are often symbolic of business power or the developers ego.

Every church I have ever been to has some kind of administrative area used for meetings, blood drives, bake sales, craft fairs, cub scouts, teen bands, etc. I doubt the voting machines were on the alter.

The elementary school I voted at had the machines in the gym. Oh ****, there were basketball nets in there. Kerry was taller than Bush, I was so intimidated I didn't know what to do.
